Showing happiness is a being able to use another emotion that everyone should have the freedom to use. So many smiling faces, peoples laughter. The sound of childrens giggles roaming all around the place, bringing joy to anyone around. But through my eyes, its the hardest thing I could ever do. Being able to smile.

'The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas' is a story about a Utopian city. Set in a summer festival, the city of Omelas is a city who's prosperity depends on the perpetual misery of a child hidden below the city. This story is based on Variations on a theme by William James. The the book 'The Wind's Twelve Quarters' is were this story lays.

It has been said that in Omelas, everyone is always happy. There are always constant celebrations, parties or dances to go to. She was 8 when she noticed the blonde boy in ragged clothing with bruises, sores and cuts all over him. She doesn't think the adults ever noticed him despite his bizarre looks, but she did. He fascinates her. His facial expressions were not like the others who always had a constant cheerful expression. His expression reminds her of the bedtime stories her parents always tell her about; fear and terror. Was that how fear looks like? I told the story of the Omelas child from my point of view, referring to the story of Le Guin: "Those who move away from Omelas". Even if you have never read the story of Le Guin you will have the opportunity to interpret the story according to your vision and give it its own meaning.
