Professional contractor Alick Durare is sent to start trouble between two mafia families. The task itself is not too much of a challenge, however it came with unforeseen consequences: accidentally catching someone else in the crossfire. Not wanting to leave them behind, Alick flees with a shaky partner in tow and tries to find a new life for them. This is my first published work. It was originally a short story written for my friend's birthday, but I decided to share it out. I would greatly appreciate some feedback about the writing and I do hope you enjoy the story.

Aaron had always known the clock was ticking against him and that his time of freedom would be short lived, but he didn't expect Janet Mason to be the one to end it.
