Such as a massive aurora, the Solar Express train shutting down the middle of nowhere... and then there is the alien spaceship hidden beneath the ice and snow...

Professional contractor Alick Durare is sent to start trouble between two mafia families. The task itself is not too much of a challenge, however it came with unforeseen consequences: accidentally catching someone else in the crossfire. Not wanting to leave them behind, Alick flees with a shaky partner in tow and tries to find a new life for them. This is my first published work. It was originally a short story written for my friend's birthday, but I decided to share it out. I would greatly appreciate some feedback about the writing and I do hope you enjoy the story.

The mountains, the storm, and the constant pursuit of the Hunters serve as metaphors for Alex's inner journey-he must confront the parts of himself he's been avoiding, understand his purpose, and make a stand against those who would use his power for destruction. In the end, Alex chooses to face his fate head-on, no longer running from what he is, but embracing the strength and potential he has inside. The story is about self-discovery, overcoming fear, and stepping into one's true power in the face of overwhelming odds.
