Ever since Jacks Loski moved to the small town of the North, he has unknowingly caught the eye of a pretty pink-haired girl named Evangeline Fox, a girl he never wanted to do anything with. All he ever wanted was to be left alone, but Evangeline is anything but easy to shake off. She's spent most of their childhood years chasing him, much to his dismay, as he's been trying to get with Donatella Dragna, (Evangeline's close friend too, much to his chagrin) for years now. So when an opportunity arises for Jacks to be partnered with Evangeline for a school project, he takes his chance to use it to his advantage. But love is messy, and things rarely turn out the way he plans it to be. Evangeline Fox has always knew she and Jacks liked each other since childhood, she's just waiting for him to confess. He's always been shy and distant whenever she's around, but it's been like this for almost ten years now, and pretty soon, graduation is coming and college preparations are knocking on their door. She hatches a plan, preparing to get some courage to confess to him but she's never had the chance to do so. So when she's partnered with him for a school project, she takes advantage of the opportunity to get to know him more and possibly. confess. But Jacks isn't the person that she knows, and she'll soon have to remove her rose-tinted glasses to see who it is. Inspired from Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen.
