This story is was written for a contest where what was written had to be based on a fairy tale or legend. I chose the legend of the Duende and wove in a bit of cupid. It's not my usual fair, but it was fun to write. Sydney was not looking for love when she set off on a relaxing cruise. A Belize duende, think fairy, named Itzel had other ideas. She was determined to find Syd a man. It was a matter of necessity. She could only graduate from Cupid School if she helped a couple find love, and she had three days to do it.

What if Adam had died because of Gaston's gun shot? What if Belle had not been able to revive him with her love? What if the witch that had cursed Adam felt pity and decided to give the lovers one more chance? What if Gaston had also exploited the opportunity? It has been a hundred years since that tragedy has happened. The work staff are still not 'Human Again'. How could they be? The Beast's curse was not broken.
