This is a story of a girl who traveled by herself on a journey to look for the Truffula Forest. She has heard all about the Lorax and how legendary he was, so she was ought to find it, in hopes to find the legendary creature. Once-ler!xShort!Tempermental!Reader! The Once-ler makes his way to the valley with truffulas, barbaloots, swarmie swans, and humming fish, only to later meet a mysterious character. The Lorax, and a strange girl who is to be his bodyguard. She doesn't say much, but when she does, it completely captivates adorable Oncie. That, or it completely teriffies him, seeing as she has a bit of an issue with her anger. Oncie learns he is going to have to live with it, not that he doesn't mind, amd he feels his life is going to have drastic changes very soon. It starts out with the normal Lorax stroy, but then it turns into something I created. I do realize it says swarmie isntead of swommie swans. That's how my uncle used to say it, and my autocorrect wouldn't let me say swommie.

What if Once-ler falls in love and it puts his thneed business in jeopardy, and what if she's not even human? After almost drowning in the river he's saved by a mermaid instead of the Lorax and is mesmerized by her siren song that saved his life. He longs for her just as much as she longs for him and will do whatever it takes to find her again. All he's ever wanted was for his family to finally be proud of him for becoming successful and wealthy, but deep down he wants someone to love him for who he really is, and not for something he's not. Who knew it would be a mermaid? Ariel has always longed for a life that seemed impossible to have, she's always been fascinated with humans and life above the sea. Is she really risking never seeing her father or sisters again to live as a human and fall for a capitalist? The heart wants what it wants. ... Is this a logical story, probably not, but the idea came to me while I was listening to The Little Mermaid soundtrack from the new movie. I got to thinking about it and their stories are kinda similar, they're both longing for something they've never had (in my opinion) and I thought it would be cool to actually combine their stories so they cross paths and fall in love! Maybe it's a stupid idea but I'm really passionate about these two characters and I think they have potential to work. I'm also gonna be using songs by some of my favorite artists throughout my fan fiction, I'm a huge Swifty btw <33 I'm also an 18 year old girl that's a beginner at writing so please be kind! I'm currently writing this story still and I'll be uploading one part at a time so please stay tuned, I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do writing it! <3

I don't really know where I'm going with this story, because it's my first so I'm sorry if some of it doesn't make sense or if it's too boring, I'm just not good at fanfics or really anything like that, but this story is about The Onceler becoming your roommate 😩 this is going to be really cringeworthy okay?
