A one act play about our own perceptions of reality trough the character of Tessa, a girl on trial for the murder of her sister's abusive boyfriend. We are shown the difference between how we see people, rather than their truth. As the plot progresses Tessa starts to see facts that disprove her perceptions of what she believes as truth. This shatters her perceptions of people and who she thought they were. She sees how our perceptions of how we want things to be can cloud our judgement.

This is a one-act play about a wacky detective who goes undercover to expose a massive drug cartel but encounters a few more surprises than what he bargains for... I've left a lot of the staging up to directors and characterisation up to the cast because that's what I enjoy best about performing. It's a bit difficult to do all the scene changes so I would stage three separate scenes at the same time and get creative with lighting :) You can really have a lot of fun with different interpretations and character portrayal.

A cross between Waiting for Godot and Rent (without the music)." - Henry P. Tuttleman, The New York Herald "I laughed so hard, my sides hurt. Little did I know I actually had appendicitis. Vel Grande's play could have killed me. I'm suing him." - Fenster J. Tuttleman, The Philadelphia Bulletin "Vel Grande's The Waiting Room redefines the One-Act. It also begs for new synonyms and antonyms. Who knew?" - Fenster R. Tuttleman, The Washington Star
