I thought we would be forever. Mason was - I mean IS- my soulmate, my twin flame, and now the one that got away. Who wouldn't want their own enemies to lovers in real life? It is everyone's favorite trope after all.
Jade and Mason. Everyone knows them because well they are always together, but apparently can't stand each other's presence. Jade the typical short girl: easily angered, competitive, and of course confident in herself. Mason the typical nerdy athlete, but plot twist he isn't the 6'4 dreamboat, but instead the one who hit puberty late. He is, however, a know-it-all and overall the most annoying guy you will ever meet. Everyone always says the guy who teases you really likes you, but is that always reality?
They have been rivals since 1st grade, and of course at the start of middle school can't separate because they both like each other's best friend. What could go wrong?
The story follows their story of being rivals, friends, and maybe even more. Being told through Jade's perspective over the years until they are sophomores in high school. This is her story of growing up with a rival in the great city of LA.
