A young princess cursed to find the one she will marry by way of a lock and key. Will she allow her hand to go to a stranger who frees her? Or will she give her heart and her life to the one she truly loves? Another of "Kris Taylor"'s stories. I don't remember when exactly I wrote this, the timestamp on the file says 1998, so sometime before that. This was my attempt at a fairy tale. I like to think I can do better now. This one's really saccharin. As a side note: The character's names actually belong to a fanfic daydream of mine for Stephen King's The Stand. This story has nothing to do with The Stand, I just happened to notice when putting this up that the love interest was named after my favorite character from the book, and the princess was named for the self-insert character. I will never write down nor share my fanfic of The Stand, so don't ask.

When Carmen Sandiego runs a job to stop a large shipment of drugs from entering a small southern town in the U.S.A., she finds herself face to face with a masked figure already on the job. While dealing with VILE agents, she finds herself face to face with a vigilante who works with the same goals but with a wildly differing ideology. This takes place between seasons 2 and 3 of Carmen Sanidego. I tried to write it for fun as a darker than normal episode of the show and to test the waters for the reception of a darker story involving Carmen as well as advertising the preview of Alone, which the character Richard who appears in this story is from. Prancing inside a fenced and guarded field, littered with thistly shrubs and thorns which leave her bandaged limbs in crimson patches; the countless beds of flowers sprawled in this scape tug at her to keep on barging in, despite the evident toll on her body. Intoxicated she's become, and she'd do just about anything to sway with those myriads of warmth and solace in persistent regularity. But if this seemingly too great of a comfort comes to a haze and halts in an abrupt, yet foreseen depart, what becomes of the hues she's come to know and long for? --•-- A short story I had penned on impulse, and one that only contains a single chapter which holds the entirety of the narrative. A short story telling the tale of a young man traveling through the desert. He finds some unexpected company of a very strange girl wandering the desert by herself. The girl joins him for a short period of the trip in an attempt to pass some time in her seemingly endless journey.

Remember that book you read in middle school, Bridge To Terabithia? The one that started out as just a lighthearted coming-of-age story and then all of a sudden, BAM! The lovable Leslie Burke drowns to death while Jesse Aarons is looking at some art with his crush, Ms. Edmunds. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 book.
