One word prompts

Staring down at herself and the single petal left on the rose, she realized how fragile she truly is.

Some friends and I were doing art inspired by one-word prompts. While my friends are traditional artists, my medium is the written word, so I'm writing short stories or scenes related to the word. Prompts were chosen by one of us every week, either sometime Sunday or early Monday, and our art is due by the following Sunday. I also try to write something every day of October (2018 -2019) to go with the inktober prompts, so these will also be posted here. Figured since I was writing them anyway, I'd post them here too. My chapter titles are going to be of the form "Prompt - Specific Name of Piece", if you are curious what the prompt was. Various pieces are unlikely to be related, although if some of them find themselves linking up, I'll make a note of it. Currently interconnected pieces: "Roasted - Potatoes", "Muddy - A Child's Game", "Snow - Keres's Decision", "Overgrown - Aaryn and Daud", and "Legend - Aaryn's Lesson" all feature the main cast of my work in progress novel "A Traitor's Tale"

These are a bunch of short stories, maybe poems, that I create from one-worded prompts and pictures. If you want anything specific, here's what you can do: in the comments, write two characters(only what they are[ex: human, elf, dog] and what they do for an occupation), a setting, and a conflict summarized into one sentence. Ive set myself a challenge to write a small piece in 10 minutes following a one word prompt. I've decided to post them here so you guys can read and enjoy them. They are quite short but if you guys like one of them i can try to turn it into a full fledged story.

I, Madison Walker, am a young writer. I write mostly about morbid things, dark gory stories. I sometimes write sad, disturbing ones. I am mostly known for my creative writing and short tales. Every writing in this book takes a deeper dive into my thoughts. I am taking a creative writing class, therefore I will put the prompt before I publish the short story. Enjoy your morbid read.
