Over the past year I have travelled extensively around the United Kingdom, and gone a little around Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands. This is a collection of anecdotes and poems written in honour of my experiences over the past one year.

Although, two completely different gentlemen are here to guide you, through your short but exciting life-span of 365 days. What will you do? What will you create? And most importantly, who will you be in the outcome? Will you have learnt a lesson or two, or will you still be as stubborn as before? Will you accept fate, or struggle to hold on when it is no longer? Do not keep a hold of these moments, but cherish them only as memories. Do not forget about us, or your accomplishments; but remember what you've done, and what you will do in the future to make you a better person. This is our last wish. Our parting gift. As the four Seasons fill the measure of the year, it takes in all the beauty with an easy span. The seasons mentioned in the poem are autumn, winter, summer and rainy sharing the idea that they structure the actual rhythms & symbolic passages of life.

Ein Auslandsjahr stand für mich schon immer nach dem Abitur fest im Plan. Dass es dann die Philippinen nun sind, das hat sich dann einfach so ergeben. Natürlich fand das meine Familie nicht so ober hammer mäßig, aber so saß ich schon kurze Zeit später da und 365 Tage Philippinen standen vor mir. Was mich alles erwarten würde, hatte ich im Flieger noch nicht auf dem Schirm. Auch nicht, dass ich ein Experte im Reisanbau werden würde oder Mitglied in einer Jury bei einer Talentshow. Eine autobiographische Geschichte über ein Jahr, in dem so viel passiert ist, dass es auch komplett fiktiv sein könnte.
