He fought to bring back peace to his family's grave. That promise was what led him to an endless cycle of hate – he watched his family die in a shower of blades and blood; the putrid stench of burning flesh and metal, a bitter taste left in his mouth when he barely had time to scream. He watched, weak and helpless, as everyone around him dropped like flies, bones breaking with ease, life fading away until nothing was left of Kyoto but the echoing screams of their despair. He yearned for vengeance and justice, and lusted to cross a river of blood for the sake of his goal. That is, until he met her.
