Tandsten är problem för de flesta patienter. Vilket är en förkalkning som uppstår när bakterier hamnar i kontakt med salivet. Mineraler bildas runt tändernas ytor vilket kallas för tandsten. Desto högre salivflöde man har desto lättare får man tandsten. Som nämnt tidigare är det viktigt att tandsten tas bort regelbundet för att minska orsaken till inflammation i tandköttet vilket kan leda till tandlossning om det går obehandlat.
