Aaliyah Winter had her life mapped out and her senior year was going to be perfect. She was the daughter of her packs alpha, and due to being the only surviving child of the alpha pair, destined to marry Phoenix Logan, her father's Beta's son, to carry on the pack hierarchy. Aaliyah was just fine with the arrangement because she had been in love with Phoenix for as long as she could remember and they had already been dating before the accident that claimed the lives off her brother and sister 3 years earlier. Everything was perfect until the day Rayne Andrews showed up as the mysterious new girl at school on the first day off senior year. Rayne Andrews had no idea why her family kept moving them from place to place every few months, or why they always seemed to be afraid of something but when her family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, she knew something was different. Being the new kid was nothing new to Rayne, but when she literally ran into Phoenix she felt an immediate shock. Would Phoenix's relationship with Aaliyah keep the literal sparks from flying between him and the schools new girl Rayne?

Djinn, also spelled Jinn and sometimes even called Genies (Jinni), are a rare race of supernatural cave dwelling hermits that have the power to produce powerful hallucinations inside the minds of humans. Djinn are humanoid creatures with tattooed skin that prefer to live in large ruins with a lot of places to hide. They feed on human blood and can poison their victims with a touch. The poison can be used either to kill their victims quickly, or to leave victims in a coma-like state while the djinn feeds on their blood over a long period of time. Djinn are depicted in the Quran as beings with powers. Contemporary lore depicts them as genies and are able to read a person's mind to learn their deepest desires; however, the djinn do not truly grant wishes like the genies of lore. Instead, using their poison, the Djinn causes hallucinations so powerful that the immobilized victim thinks he or she is actually living in the reality the Djinn implanted. Onyx Nitefall, a 18 year old scholar who just just moved into a new city of New Jersey. Newark, second highest crime rate city of the entire United States. In this new step and change in her life she would have to get adjusted to her new home, making new friends and enemies. Onyx isn't special. They know too well that everyone in L'Manburg High has had some tragic backstory. Which is why she is more than relived when Bouncemoon, her leader, gives her a chance to be normal and have a mentor, but she finds herself in messes she didn't want to be in. Things she can't describe keep happening, things she cant explain to family. She can't handle these occurrences and she finds herself wanting to never have accepted the scholarship.

Who are the heros? Those trained to be, or those who take up their own? How are the best bonds formed? From staying beside someone, or holding them when they need to be held? How are friends made? By saving them from the enemy, or by just being there? We are Delta. We are watching.
