The aftermath of the War Games has left several eyes on Kira, watching her every move. Questions of her and the others' loyalty threaten everything they've been building in Aretia, and Kira is determined to protect her home. It doesn't help that Kira and Garrick's dragons have entered a mating bond at a rather inconvenient time. Along with this, the new vice commandant seems hell bent on proving Kira's disloyalty to Navarre. Kira refuses to falter; She's a Riorson, after all. But it might take more than just her swords to make it through her second year alive.
