A collection of "short stories" in which I write about my future love and the expectations I have for them. I've spent my whole life trying to lower the standards I have for my significant other because I was never confident enough to feel like I could be so "picky." After going to college I realized that I'm allowed to define what love is to me and I'm allowed to pick and choose who I want to be with. I want to use this as a way for me to get my ideas down on paper and hopefully transition from shorts to a full novel, maybe even use a few of these scenarios in the future. I also want this to be available for other people to read and remind them that they're allowed to decide who they want to be with, as specific and "unrealistic" their expectations may be.

Scarlet has made the big move from California to Long Island because of a college scholarship, and though she is happy to be able to change who she always was, will she be able to let go of her past to begin anew?

Wyatt thought that going to college would be the key to his happiness. But even after leaving his home life, becoming roommates with one of his good friends, and even getting the opportunity to expand his knowledge about something he loved doing felt all too bitter-sweet. He was still drinking, he was still socially awkward, and his friend Kelly noticed it all. She was becoming worried that if he didn't socialize or open up more he'll be quiet and unhealthy in the long run. And, with all of her other attempts to get him out there and meet people failing in the past, she had no choice. It helps us connect with others by sharing our experiences and feelings. Writing poems allows us to capture fleeting moments and make them timeless. It gives us a voice for the things we can't quite explain, fostering understanding and self-reflection. Poetry is like a thread that weaves us together, reminding us of our shared human experiences. Toni Robbins was always a smart kid with a stern mindset most girls her age didn't have. She could smell bullshit from a mile away and refused to be hurt or played by any random guy. Physical attraction didn't faze her and money couldn't move her mountains. She refused to chase anybody and when she felt disrespected in the slightest way, she didn't hesitant to cut ties and move on. While her strict personality protected her from ever experiencing a heart break, she also didn't get to feel the wonders of being in love.
