Openletter Stories

Every story and drama has at least one character we just can't stand. The one who makes you roll your eyes every time you read their name or see them appear on screen. The one who makes you want to reach into the book-or through the screen-and either strangle them or smack them... reader's choice. More often than not, it's the same character for many of us-or at least the same type of character. This poetry collection is a series of open letters to those characters. Blunt, emotional, and sometimes a little sarcastic, each poem confronts the characters readers love to hate while exploring the jealousy, obsession, entitlement, and denial that fuel their actions. If you've ever wanted to say what the protagonist couldn't, these letters are for you. It's about time someone told them the truth.

"Lost in Nostalgia" A melancholic symphony of love and loss, woven with the ache of unspoken longing. It tells the tale of a friendship that once brought light, only to fade into the shadows of unrequited love. Time moves forward, but the echoes of what once was still linger, whispering in the quiet spaces of memory. Despite the pain, hope remains a fragile wish for the past to return, even as it slips further away. Originally written on December 10, 2015, as "Nostalgia" Revised on February 20, 2025.
