ONC Entry based on Prompt #90: You were officially dead for 2 minutes. Ever since then you can see guardian angels, and not a minute goes by in your daily life that you don't see an annoyed angel doing their job.

The 20s are back and the Prohibition is in full effect. Only this time the only spirits that are being outlawed isn't alcohol - it's powerful potions, endangered magical creatures and living souls being confined into bottles. These illicit spirits are coveted by criminal organizations that want to take over the underworld. One dangerous concoction could decimate an entire city to oblivion. Some of these spirits can be used to power engines, regenerate the tissue of a cadaver or make someone glow like a firefly, but the most dangerous of them all is to use the vessel of an imprisoned spirit to use mind control. Aster Rhodes was just a homeless lad who travelled across the states playing an old violin in the park when he got discovered by Daisy Ray. The young violinist has a penchant for bad poetry and soliloquys though it didn't deter the widow from introducing Aster to the frontman of the once-nomadic band called the Daisy Dukes - Darrell "Zib" Zibulon aka the Dandy Lion. After passing the rehearsal, the real head honcho of the speakeasy, Blaise Ray shows Aster the ropes of the business operates, though he didn't know the real extent of what his job would entail after the owner of the Dandelion speakeasy gets murdered one night. The business starts to sink and the only way to keep it afloat is to procure the illicits spirits, no one else is willing to take the risk to go bootlegging except for Aster, and Blaise's goddaughter - Ivy Taylor.

The Horcades and the Horcanes are family names in a fairytale. Nobody thinks the present Horcades have any connection with it. People don't even believe the tale. The idea that the tale is based off a true story is only a speculation by few. However, the truth is scarier than people think. And when this tale turns out to have some truth in it, the Horcades realise that some stories are best when fictional.

Humans have located another planet to live on, but there's not enough room on the spacecrafts for everyone. Who stays and who goes? One wrong question has the power to condemn . Following the Martian discovery of a jump drive, the United Nations of Earth formulated a plan. There is a rumored list of seventeen crimes - modeled after the nineteen crimes that could get one sent to Australia. It seems a very similar one would get white collar corporate criminals, fringe political activists, terrorist operatives, bigots and climate law violators sent to Mars. Publicly, it's all denied. Then Brie Reyes (nee Hodges), finds herself arrested after a contentious briefing with the United States Climate Initiative Czar. Researching her absent father - who long ago left to be among the first settler of the Martian colony Selah - caused a cataclysmic shift in her life and her thinking. Meeting the half-brother born to her father after he settled on Mars may either bring her salvation or condemnation. Either way, Brie Reyes is going to Mars. Its either as a political prisoner. Round two ambassador pick. Wyatt has just won it big and, in a drunken haze, buys an old, neglected mansion. When she moves in to start renovations, she gets an eerie feeling that she's not always alone-and let's not forget the noises. One fitful night, she heads to the kitchen for a midnight snack and is shocked when a random stranger runs past her in the hallway. A handsome man dressed like Mr Darcy, who disappears like a ghost. After her encounter, Wyatt does some research into the old house, only to discover it has a creepy and troubling past. But that's nothing compared to the revelation that the old antique wardrobe in her room is a secret doorway to the past and the handsome stranger is no ghost, but the son of an Earl looking for his long-lost aunt.

Half way down you make eye contact with someone doing the exact same thing a few windows over. --------------- Royal families hold a reverent image and must uphold it in front of their nobles and citizens. What then shall the Princess of England do when she has no interest in fulfilling her father's wish of marrying a never seen prince of Netherlands. --------------- Jane, also known as Jess, is the only daughter of the King of England, Leo Evans. Upon meeting the French Princess Catherine, Jane and Catherine develop mutual feelings for one another. But the arranged marriage by King Leo troubles the two love birds. Wanting to fly far and high in love, the two must decide their actions wisely for it affects not only their lives but the honour of their families as well. Should they take a wrong step, the centuries old prestige of their families will be put on test. Witness passionate love, royal family drama and kingdom affairs and journey through the life of two suffocating birds as they try making things work in the intolerant and conservative society of the seventeenth century. Not for a job, but the make-work of the workhouses of Victorian England, for those they couldn't sell to the factories. That and the money made off her labor wasn't her's to keep. This was not the place an Earl's granddaughter was supposed to end up in. Reconciliation with her family landed her back in the lap of luxury, where the inevitability of her world was marrying a cousin, much like Queen Victoria, a stranger without the wealth to back a season, or a job the family wouldn't balk at. Cousins marrying in the Victorian era wasn't too uncommon, but Constance was pushed into the workhouse by Aunt Letitia's machinations once, and marrying into the family she wanted to hurt promised to be a life of misery, whether it be the polished heir Victor, the indecently wild Walter, or the rebellious child James. If only her love for them was stronger than her hate of their mother, she could give in. Instead, Constance persuades her parents to let her find work or gain an education, anything but the fate of a Tragedy. Mother's mysterious past helps introduce her to Lord Listings, and Constance is offered a job at Listings Women's Library, if she can handle the oddities that surround the Women's Library. And haunted is just the start of it.

This is a story in which some may believe fairytales are all make believe, and just all a fantasy. But, hang on!! They're actually real! Read any further, and I will have to gouge your eyes out! 'Fairy Crosses' are believed to have formed where fairies danced in little valleys between the mountains. On certain nights of the year, settlers believed they could find the fairies, watch their dance, and collect their tears... Charlotte lost her husband two years ago. She moved from Atlanta to Helen, a small, sleepy town in northern Georgia to escape her pain. Struggling with grief, Charlotte often talks to her husband as if he is still there. One day, Charlotte returns home to find fairy crosses in her yard. This becomes such a regular occurrence for her that she decides to take them to a local museum. There, the curator explains to Charlotte what they are and the scientific phenomenon that causes them, but also the legend. Charlotte later finds a trail of fairy crosses on a path between trail trees. It leads her down a valley where a miracle happens one night.
