I have too many story ideas and not enough time-so this is where I keep them all. Every year, the school rented one of the stages and would put on a Shakespeare play. It was a big deal with anybody who was anybody, much like the homecoming game. Agents would show up and hide amongst the crowd to recruit actors and models. The parents of the actors would put spend most of opening night counting the faces of obvious strangers, assuming they were said agents, even if it was tourist season when these plays ran. Ashley had gotten the part of Juliet. Years of musicals and school plays had been leading up to the opening night of East High School’s production of Romeo & Juliet in the Royal Performance Center. Ashley never performed that night.
