Is It Wrong to Hit on Space Chicks? Think Guardians of the Galaxy meets High School DxD with Konosuba levels of self-aware humor. Jackie Ray just wanted to eat his spicy chips and watch the Super Sentai marathon. He didn't ask for an alien invasion. He certainly didn't ask to accidentally hip-toss Princess Xylia, the deadliest warrior in the galaxy, during a panic-induced reflex. But according to Aethelgardian law, if you put the Princess on her back, you put a ring on her finger. Now, Jackie-a 19-year-old nerd who fights better when he trips over his own shoelaces-is the newly crowned Warlord King of a warrior planet. But the galaxy isn't going to let him rule in peace. He has to survive: Xylia: The Crimson Valkyrie who thinks hand-holding is a level-10 intimacy act. Vora: A seven-foot-tall, four-armed blue General who wants to crush him with love (literally). Seraphina: A gothic void-demon Queen who wants to corrupt his soul. Armed with nothing but "Luck-Fu," a hidden rage power that scares even the gods, and a legendary Space Pirate grandma as a mentor, Jackie has to save the universe. Can he defeat the cosmic order, master his accidental martial arts, and survive his own harem without exploding?

This is a monumental historical novel of 118 chapters that chronicles the complete life of Giuseppe Verdi, from his humble birth to his final breath. Traveling chronologically through his existence, the book dedicates specific chapters to each of his operas, weaving the creation of musical masterpieces with the raw human passions that forged them. The narrative spans every season of his life: his tragic first marriage to Margherita Barezzi, the tumultuous triumphs of his youth, his international travels, and his scandalous extramarital relationship with soprano Giuseppina Strepponi. After years of social exile, the couple builds a deeply happy and consolidated life together at Villa Sant'Agata, with "Peppina" serving as his manager, confidante, and unbreakable emotional anchor. However, this harmony shatters with the intrusion of Teresa Stolz. The arrival of the ambitious Czech soprano marks the beginning of the end for Giuseppina's happiness. From that moment on, the novel transforms into a high-tension psychological thriller. The two women wage a silent war behind the curtains of La Scala and within the stone walls of Sant'Agata during the creation of Aida, the Requiem, and Otello. While the world cheers the genius, an suffocating web of public hypocrisy is maintained to protect the "Verdi" brand, systematically destroying the tragic conductor Angelo Mariani along the way.The epic concludes with the heartbreaking death of Giuseppina in 1897 and the final years of an old, desolate Verdi. The ultimate resolution lands on the fate of Teresa Stolz: a dethroned queen who, after her rival's death, ends up tending to Sant'Agata-wealthy and famous, but condemned to absolute solitude. A colossal novel about the cost of genius, where the music conquered immortality, but the silence devoured their lives.

In the tempestuous arena of 19th-century Italy, two men emerged to redefine the human soul through the power of opera. Vincenzo Bellini, the Swan of Catania: a poetic, melancholic spirit of aristocratic elegance, whose endless melodies seemed whispered by angels. Gaetano Donizetti, the Titan of Bergamo: a whirlwind of charisma, boundless energy, and raw passion, capable of wrenching the most heartbreaking emotions from a blank sheet of music. This historical novel ventures deep into the lights and shadows of their lives, spanning the entire arc of their existence. From their humble childhood origins to their academic struggles, and finally, to their ascension into the Olympus of the world's greatest opera houses-the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the San Carlo in Naples, and the majestic Théâtre-Italien in Paris. Grounded in rigorous historical documentation and real correspondence, this story lets imagination take flight to recreate their world with sophistication and emotional depth. Through vivid, fictionalized dialogues and intense backstage encounters, we witness their fierce artistic debates, the professional jealousies, and the unspoken mutual admiration that connected them. Follow the creation of their crowning masterpieces-from Norma and La sonnambula to Lucia di Lammermoor and L'elisir d'amore-and discover the human hearts behind the grand overtures. A profound, sweeping chronicle of ambition, friendship born from competition, heartbreaking losses, and the poignant descent toward their early graves. Written with a mature yet universal voice, this novel invites readers of all generations to step behind the velvet curtains and discover the untold story of the two colossi of bel canto.

Eighteen-year-old Christine is a singer in the Paris Opera. A strange man is watching her behind her dressing room and wants her to be his wife. He tricks her into believing that he is an angel from heaven, the Angel of Music. Eighteen-year-old Raoul is in love with her, but marriage is frowned upon because of the class difference between them. He is from minor royalty and she is from a poor family. He is suspicious of this "angel" and tries to rescue Christine from him when he kidnaps her and takes her to his home in the caverns underneath the opera house. This is my adaptation of the original book "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. The book is now in the Public Domain. I have edited it for grammar and deleted a few parts that didn't contribute much to the story. I also changed the ending a bit. The illustrations are original pen and ink drawings by me. The story is not a "great romance," like the publicity from the stage play would like you to think. It is more of a crime/mystery/detective story.

A night at the opera turns deadly as an ancient foe exacts vengeance. December 2005. Night Music occurs after the events in Columbia Ghost Story (Crossed Lines) and Cloister of the Secrets (Caffrey Conversation). Crossed Lines is a fusion series of White Collar with Supernatural. Peter Burke already crossed the line to recruit con artist Neal Caffrey. To work with the Winchester brothers, he'll have to do the same. Similarly, Dean and Sam need to let Neal and Peter into their world. The stories are set within the Caffrey Conversation timeline but can be read separately. The Caffrey Conversation universe was created by Penna Nomen. In that world, Neal Caffrey--expert forger, thief, and con artist--is recruited by Special Agent Peter Burke to work for him at the FBI. Neal begins his new life in December 2003 when he is twenty-three years old. Unlike the TV series, Neal was never convicted of a crime and didn't serve time in prison. Penna Nomen is the creator and chief muse for Caffrey Conversation. She is also my writing partner. The complete list of all our stories is on our blog, Penna Nomen & Silbrith Conversation. This story is for fun. I don't own the rights to White Collar or Supernatural.

The Phantom's New Aria A Phantom of the Opera inspired story based on the 2004 film adaptation Disclaimer: This story is inspired by the world, themes, and characters of The Phantom of the Opera (2004). It follows an original storyline with an original character, Lainé Moreau, and explores what could happen after the events of the film. After the chandelier falls and the Opera Populaire burns, the Phantom disappears into the shadows, leaving behind the only person he ever loved. Erik has accepted his fate. A monster in the eyes of the world. A ghost beneath the streets of Paris. A man who was never meant to be loved. But when a young woman named Lainé Moreau follows his haunting melodies into the darkness, she finds something no one else ever has-the man beneath the mask. She does not come seeking fame. She does not come to expose him. She does not come out of fear or pity. She comes because she believes there is a song trapped inside her, and only the Phantom can teach her how to set it free. At first, Erik sees her presence as an intrusion. He tries to drive her away with cruelty, convinced she will eventually see him the way the rest of the world does. But Lainé refuses to run. She sees beyond the scars, beyond the mask, beyond the monster everyone else has named him. As he teaches her to find her voice, she unknowingly teaches him something far more dangerous: That he is not beyond saving. That darkness does not have to mean being alone. And that even the most broken hearts can find their way back to the light. But love is never simple in the shadows beneath the Opera House. Because Erik must face the one thing he fears more than rejection- The possibility that he is finally worthy of being chosen.
