Oh, this is absurd. I saw this winsome boy last Friday. He stood there and watched me without moving his gaze. I admit that it is not strange in a world like this to not come across a perverted hormone-crazed young man once in a while, until he begins to make every possible move to make you uncomfortable. But he looked innocent. It seemed to me that he was too shy to ask help. Perhaps, he wanted help. His eyes were pleading to me to make my way to him and to ask him the reason behind this scrutinizing. But when I took a step forward to him, he turned his gaze. That's when my mind stopped me from approaching him. Along with his gaze, I took a turn in my step and headed back to the house. I lay in bed that night with the picture of him drawn into my mind. I couldn't stop thinking about those sad eyes.

"Life is pain, living is lonely and then you die." Tara Kingsley doesn't have much. Her crappy apartment, a few cockroaches, mostly used clothes and a corresponding bank account. Ruth Wandenberg has everything that keeps Tara's head above the water: A job as an escort for businessmen, a strong will and a magnetic personality. The bad news: Ruth is a mirage, nothing more than a fleeting illusion. A false identity that cannot be kept up longer than a few hours. Tara's desperate attempt of staying alive. Quentin knows that life isn't easy. Especially when you're forced to earn extra cash on the side just to keep afloat. But other than Tara he knows that when you're no business tycoon or one of those having especially much money, you have to start somewhere and imagine that things will be okay someday. You have to believe. It's the art of keeping going. What will happen if those so similar and yet so different characters meet? Will Tara be able to put down the burden of her past and start a life that she's already given up long ago?

opia n. the ambiguous intensity of looking someone in the eye, which can feel simultaneously invasive and vulnerable-their pupils glittering, bottomless and opaque-as if you were peering through a hole in the door of a house, able to tell that there's someone standing there, but unable to tell if you're looking in or looking out.

*PLEASE READ*: So this note has now been moved to the top of the story. Um, I know if I say don't read most people will casually just read it anyway, but I recommend after chapter 16 you just stop reading till I manage to redo everything. Sure you can read if you want, but hope you enjoy topsy tervy writing hehe... anyway, I shall keep posting anyway just so I can keep track of the story properly and eventually edit it majorly after because this story is suffering from Severe Plot-hole Syndrome (this needs to be a thing) Thanks to everyone who may actually still be interested in this story and heads up for the summary revamp too, because I no longer like it aha XD thanks readers ❤ ❝Beyond the perfect walls lie sinister secrets.❞ Oblivia; Book One in the trilogy. In Flo Rein's future dystopian world, mankind has moved up to the sky in a city known as Arcadia, where as far as the inhabitants are concerned their world is perfect, but the truth they’ve been hidden from is far from that. At the age of sixteen, on the same day each year, all children must undergo a series of tests that will determine whether or not they’re a threat to Opia; the government that rule over them and for Flo, it means defying them to hide her true knowledge. For those who have seen the truth beyond the lies they’ve been fed are banished to Earth; the polluted planet that still lies below, inhabited by mutated monsters. Caught in the lies that the city is built upon, Flo must uncover the truth; faced with a choice between a world of oblivion and one where no one is safe… © Copyright PenguinsRule06 - All Rights Reserved {highest rankings;; sci-fi;;; #237 ~ 04.08.14 action; #376 ~ 17.10.14} *Cover made by xXXTheScriptXXx and Trailer made by AlyxMck*

To Jeffery, words are more than an assortment of the alphabet. Instead, they have the power to convey a whole human being--his thoughts; his heart; his everything. There are words powerful enough to convey the beat in your chest after a firework, or to describe the flutter in your heart when you see him. Words can connect two souls and they can tear them apart. Words are how you fall in love.
