She wakes to the ticking of a clock. No, she wakes to silence. As her mind rots back into cognizance, she hears the sound of her AC dripping water. "Okay," she thinks. She leaves her room and does not (or tries not to) think about it. (She is unsuccessful. She imagines a flood. She imagines drowning.

The year is 2050, and things have never been worse. Jacob Resh is young, alone, and in possession of the most powerful item in the universe- the Artifact. Jacob encounters evil and treacherous things in his daily life, though he has grown used to it by now. However, Jacob holds a unique power that may just save the universe-but at what cost? Gwenyth is fighting. Ever since the world collapsed, she and the Opposers are trying to keep the world safe from the Oppressors, a group of highly funded terrorists who intend to bring the world under their control. The Oppressors goal: to find the Artifacts. In an unlikely turn of events, these two characters' lives collide in an interesting turn of events. Will they be able to defeat the Oppressors, or will the Opposers be destroyed as the world is under the Oppressor's control? Join Gwenyth and Jacob as they embark on the war of their lives. Not everyone is who they seem to be, and the key to their survival could also be their doom.
