Through heart-crushing trials, rainy days, and plentiful pain, Hope keeps a smile plastered on her face. Everyone expects the cheerful girl to have a life full of sunshine, but what if she didn't? Read The Optimist to follow Hope through her life. AN- I suck at writing descriptions and writing in general... Read it please?

In which there is a debate between an optimist and a pessimist. If you don't know what either means, don't be embarrassed. An optimist always thinks that the world is full of hope. The pessimist will just shake his head and say, "Nope". So do you think it's right to believe everything is great every day? Or see that everything is more worse than the next in every single way? A poem submitted for the Everything is Awesome Scholarship Slam 2015.

"Why are you so positive all the time?" he asks, looking over into my eyes. I bite my lip and look up. "Because it makes it seem like everything is fine," I say, capturing his eyes with mine, "Everything... is... fine..." ***** Madeline has the glass-half-full outlook on life. She goes through her everyday with a constant smile glowing on her face and she easily ignores the haters. But she isn't completely fine. Inside, she hurts. The comments her parents make about her hurts. Her feeling of disappointment that she believes everyone feels about her hurts. It all hurts. Then an old life-long classmate that she barely talks to rolls around, just tossing a random comment her way, and they strike up a full conversation, a friendship blossoming. Then her feelings develop even more towards the guy with the black-framed glasses.

A poem

"He might not have no possession, One might simply mistook him as a meagre passer by, But for me, I firmly believe, He is no less than a blessing, his arms my paradise, For he is my Knight in shining armour in disguise...." As November rolls in, with an auspicious wind of festivities around the world, there could be no more meaningful celebration than confessing our utter gratitude to our loved ones.
