Jayden Dee and Nova Williams apart one's mean, cranky, rude and just plain doesn't care. The others sarcastic, sweet, optimist but never feels complete. Together Jayden starts to care about his grades, how he treats others but above all he cares about Nova. Everyday Nova spends with Jayden she starts to feel that empty hole in her fill up. What starts at friends turns into best friends, everyone around them notices how much they change each other. Everything seems great until Jayden makes a mistake one that could ruin Nova and one Jayden can't take back.

Nobody knows the way I feel when I'm alone. I'm just an ordinary girl. People say I'm beautiful, skinny. That's never been enough. I've been called pretty many times but they just whisk over my head. The girl in the rain keeps popping up all over town, with Rachel and Zander right at her heels. But sometimes things aren't always as they seem. . . .
