Another step into trying to spread awareness about captive marine mammals. I do want to put a Trigger warning as there is slight animal abuse, self harm, death, refrenced bullying, severe health conditions, mentions of injuries and implied saddening topics. This is a fiction story though it has lots of real life concepts and info. This story is about a baby orca who gets taken from his family in the waters of Iceland. He then is put into a tank, eventually performing to please the crowd. but one day something clicks in his brain, an impulsive thought which then he acts upon. This was originally a short story assignment for my English Ⅱ class. My teacher said my story was saddening but gets you thinking about how these animals feel, so she said it could be published to spread awareness and this is my first step into spreading awareness on this topic. Thank you for coming to read my story and I hope it changes your perspective on marine mammals in captivity.

Kacie isn't what you would call normal... she is an orca trainer at SeaWorld Orlando. She spends most of her time with these Killer Whales, and when she isn't, she's looking up things about her favorite band, One Direction. When she goes to a meet and greet and gets Niall's number, she's super excited. After her job gets the best of her and she cant contact him, she is pretty upset until he gets other things to worry about. She's moving to London because of her dad's work schedule. So when her whole life is Transferred, what happens?

Instead, she flailed and splashed and smashed one arm against a piling as salt water poured into her raincoat & filled her shoes. "How do you like it?" Jason yelled. She spun until she could make out his form, black against gray sky. "What?" she sputtered. She dragged one arm from the water long enough to shove wet hair from her face. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "I nearly drowned last week, you know that? Now you show up as if nothing happened." "Last week," Cass said slowly, "I was in Argentina." Whatever he'd seen, it wasn't her.

Jack was an American starving artist who won a trip home on the Ship of Dreams to a lucky hand in poker. Unfortunately, his luck ran out on April 15, 1912 when the Titanic collided with an iceberg, in the cold dangerous waters of the Mid-Atlantic. Rewinding back to April 11, 1912 that very Titanic was filled with the fragrance of love and not the depths of the chilly, freezing water in every chamber of the ship. That fragrance of love was when Rose & Jacks love story began. Rose was supposed to marry a man arranged by her mother's pick. A pick which will bring exquisiteness into the family name by marrying someone of her level and class. Jack was quite the opposite. That fine pick was a gentleman named Cal Hockley, who was only attracted by Rose's looks and her family fortune. That's all for now.
