Let me first say before I get further that I LOVE Taco Bell. I have an illness with this obsession for Taco Bell, especially their grande burritos...*drool*... If I could be a spoke's person for Taco Bell believe me, I. WOULD. DO. IT!! I LOVE Taco Bell! Ackhem... I see a guy having a hard time swimming in the ocean after his sail boat capsizes in the storm. I swim over to help him up into the lifeboat. As he gets pulled in I look into his eyes and its the man of my dreams! I nudge the life boat a little and just stare in open interest. If I could drool in this form I would. BELIEVE ME. The guy next to him says, "Is that a dolphin?!" "Yeah! I heard that dolphins save humans sometimes!" said another person a woman...WHO WAS HOLDING ONTO THE MAN OF MY DREAMS!!! I squeal indignant and shake my head from side to side. Oh, and also, I'm not a freakin dolphin! Of course it comes out as squeaks and squeals and whistles. "Look! Its talking to us! Aww!" The woman says before she reaches over to touch me. I pull out of her reach while I shout in my head, I eat dolphins! Little did I know that the man of my dreams was a land lover.*Cover by SeikaPheonix*

Cass has no memories of her parents, only impossible dreams of waves and orcas and, sometimes, her mother's voice. When she and her adopted aunt return to the Pacific Northwest island--where her parents died twelve years before--Cass hopes the place will trigger long-buried memories. Instead, she discovers that the impossible is real, and that history is about to repeat itself. Unless she can stop it. ***Teaser*** The water hit with such a shock of cold that Cass thought she was going to pedal up and out of it again like some cartoon character. Instead, she flailed and splashed and smashed one arm against a piling as salt water poured into her raincoat & filled her shoes. "How do you like it?" Jason yelled. She spun until she could make out his form, black against gray sky. "What?" she sputtered. She dragged one arm from the water long enough to shove wet hair from her face. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "I nearly drowned last week, you know that? Now you show up as if nothing happened." "Last week," Cass said slowly, "I was in Argentina." Whatever he'd seen, it wasn't her.

These are just some of the many stories of captive orcas through their eyes. Based on true events of captive killer whales. (Although not everything in here is true cause we don't know what the orcas are truly thinking). IMPORTANT NOTES: I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE PICTURES, all credit goes to Seaworld and the original owners. Not everything you see in here may be interly true, depending where I got the info. This is an ORIGINAL WORK OF MINE. I'M NOT ANTICAP OR ANYTHING. This is NOT to offend anyone or anything, so please just try to be nice to each other and ABSOLUTELY NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS. I'm only writing this in dedication to these orcas since the breeding ban. A tribute to all cetaceans.

Killer Whales, commonly known as Orcas, have been a symbol of the West Coast for thousands of years. They hold a very special place among Canadians, especially among indigenous peoples, who regard them as a symbol of power, family bonds, and an inspiration for humanity. Sadly, these beautiful, intelligent, sentient beings are struggling to survive in an environment that has become almost alien to them. Due to human activities, only 73 Southern Resident killer whales remain alive today. Lack of availability of Chinook Salmon, a significant part of their diet, as well as pollution of their native waters, and disturbances caused by large vessels are just some of the many challenges these creatures face.

Another step into trying to spread awareness about captive marine mammals. I do want to put a Trigger warning as there is slight animal abuse, self harm, death, refrenced bullying, severe health conditions, mentions of injuries and implied saddening topics. This is a fiction story though it has lots of real life concepts and info. This story is about a baby orca who gets taken from his family in the waters of Iceland. He then is put into a tank, eventually performing to please the crowd. but one day something clicks in his brain, an impulsive thought which then he acts upon. This was originally a short story assignment for my English Ⅱ class. My teacher said my story was saddening but gets you thinking about how these animals feel, so she said it could be published to spread awareness and this is my first step into spreading awareness on this topic. Thank you for coming to read my story and I hope it changes your perspective on marine mammals in captivity.
