He stands, dusting the dirt off his shorts. "See ya." I lie back down, humiliation swirling hot in my stomach.

This is a retelling of Judges 4 in the Bible. Deborah is a prophetess and judge who leads Israel to victory over the Canaanite king, Jabin. It shows what she does before, during, after she gets the news of whether or not she accepted or not. If she is accepted she will become the first women judge in Georgia. So check this out.
