Eighteen year old Leah Stellar is chosen to participate in a reality TV show with eleven other contestants chosen randomly from all around the world. A journey to the other side of the world that will take them through dangerous and sometimes even lethal obstacles they may not survive. With the producers and a full-time crew always at hand, she and other ten are forced to follow their every instruction or risk deadly consequences. Is this just a trivial show for the entertainment of the people or is there some greater, darker purpose? Will Leah make it out alive?

In the future, guilt and innocence are determined through trial by combat. Civil cases are fought to submission, while serious criminal cases are fought to the death in a ceremony called the Ordeal. Defendants can represent themselves or hire advocates to fight on their behalf. The best of them earn glory and wealth, while keenly aware that their next case could be the last. Growing up in the impoverished Los Angeles Basin, seventeen year-old Leander Hill helps his father run a failing antique store but dreams of a better life in the Preserve, the garden paradise of the wealthy to the northwest. When he shows talent defending himself in a street fight, he receives an invitation to attend a prestigious training school for advocates. Although his father is strongly against it, Leander decides that becoming an advocate is his best chance to give his family a brighter future. Leander rises through the ranks at the school and attracts the interest of a wealthy potential patron, who offers to put him on retainer with all the wealth and privilege he could dream of. His first assignment is to fight an ordeal on behalf of the governing Authority against an insurrectionist. But when he learns more about the corruption of the Authority, and his family's own ties to the insurrectionists, he will have to decide whether the moral price of his coveted better life is too high to pay.

All of these little entries revolve around the same story..which I'm about to tell you. You appear to be a young child. And you are imprisoned in some sort of provision, along with a few more young. You're all handcuffed and in a line, walking into this facility..wondering if you'll ever come out once you go on. You black out. A few weeks pass and you wake up..strapped to a broken electrical chair. Some sort of contraption is tied around your head, preventing you from being able to blink. Faint yelling is heard from different rooms and the walls are stained with mold and..some sort of red liquid. The awful stench in your cell made you wonder if it's blood.. But you think positively and hope it isn't. Sanitary wonders aside, the yelling you heard became more and more clear.. The doors slammed open. A women wearing a jumpsuit was screaming as two guards held her hands behind her back. The room was quite big and there wasn't much in there with you, so what the woman screamed was very clear to you; "You assholes, let go of these children! And let go of me!" That's all you get!~ If you want more, check the first diary entry shown. So far, this is all I have, but I hope to have enough motivation to finish.

From the beginning, it felt right to be together, almost second nature. However, when high school and pressure to be an asshole gets to him, Mason is an asshole to a person he cares deeply about, Eleanor. They connect both on a physical and mental level, but how can she stay with someone who is mean to her in public but so loving behind closed doors? Eleanor has trouble prioritizing, slowly deteriorating from the relationship that develops with Mason, someone who she knew she cared about but confused her to no ends. ---- high school story about what social standards as well as society can do to a relationship, as well as communication.
