This is obviously my own take of the checks in Ordeal by Chèque. Most of this is based on my Ordeal by Chèque narrative for English. The second half is completely my ideas and work. Lawrence and his wife decided to make a family. In an unfortunate turn of events, the baby didn't survive. Marie (Lawrence's wife) decided that they should just adopt but that decision would soon break them apart.
