Elvira joins some old friends and a company of dwarves on their quest to reclaim Erebor. Upon being summoned by Gandalf, Coalbi, the last of her kind, joined a group of thirteen dwarves on a quest to regain their mountain. But there are things that try to stop them, both outside forces and some within.

Even in a world filled with magic, there are some things you just can't fix. No matter how hard you try, or how much you want to and wish, it just can't be fixed. Coughing Fever was one of those things. It was a savage illness, causing a chronic and incurable cough, a high fever, and shaking are just a few of the symptoms. Coughing Fever was one of those illnesses that not even the mighty and knowledgeable elves could cure. There were things that could alleviate the symptoms, of course, but only temporarily. But Briar Baggins-Butcher didn't let the fact that she was plagued by this incurable illness bother her. She lived her life as best she could, hidden away by her family so she wouldn't make her illness worse, she never had many friends, but one. Briar's best friend in the whole world was her cousin, Bilbo Baggins. He was the one person who her parents would always let her see. She adored her cousin and enjoyed spending time with him at Bag End. Bilbo was her best friend, of that she had not one single doubt. But Bilbo had his shortcomings like all people do. His was that he never wanted to wander away for a while, he never longed for adventures. There was nothing that Briar wanted more. She wanted to see the world, she wanted to see the farthest corners of Middle Earth. Her parents would never allow that, of course... It was too risky, with her Coughing Fever and all. She could get herself into some real problems if she were to reach a low point and there was no one to come to her aid. What happens when instead of one hobbit Gandalf gets two? I'm not good at descriptions so instead here's a run down! Reader is a hobbit and is a little taller then Bilbo. This is a x male reader! Reader will use he/him pronouns. I will avoid writing descriptions of skin tone, body shape, and hair texture. Instead of saying blushing I will say felt face get hot, so I don't exclude anyone. Let me know if you want this to be a Bilbo x male reader or a Bilbo x Thorin x male reader (poly). This is a everybody lives nobody dies au. Hello, My name... well, forget that. I'm called Pan. Like Panther? Well I live in a world called Vennaria. We are ruled by a strange king, have bandits, slave traders, and worst of all, 'the high order' a group of 'pure-bloods' who think themselves higher than everyone else. Luckily, we also have Rebels. Fighting for whats good and moral, well most of the time. I didn't used to know so much about my world, only the little strawberry farm I grew up on, but now I travel around with this girl that saved me from slavery. She just fells from the sky one day. Quite literally in fact. Just as a side note, I'd love anyone reading to tell me of any errors, like Form instead of From, or something. I'd love that! Just another side note, that bitc- person who so politely told me that my 'attempt to add racial variation was offensive' I'd like to inform you, that all my characters are based entirely off of REAL people as in one's I know and their families. I just made them different ages, and a bit better looking in some cases. Also Pan, Loti, Moyra, Glyphe, and any babies are made up entirely, but as of yet no one else is. Yes even the random characters only there for a second are based off real people.
