Alessio Marino era un ragazzino italiano del Queens come tanti altri che viveva con la madre e il nonno aiutandoli nel ristorante vivendo una vita normale provando ammirazione per i super-eroi in particolare uno che è diventato il suo idolo: Spider-man! Una mattina durante una gita al museo di storia naturale un ragno, messo da un bullo sulla sua mano, lo morde rendendolo molto più forte, agile e sopratutto riesce a sentire i pericoli attorno a lui come se avesse un radar. Pensando di poter diventare ricco e famoso decide di utilizzare questo dono nel modo sbagliato e presto dovrà capire che da un grande potere derivano grandi responsabilià.
