looking back at that old story with a self insert character and a robot made me want to eat tinfoil. Seriously, it was trash and I had no idea what to do with it until now. One released from capture, and the other kicked off the spaceship, the two get stuck together because of a few curious reasons. Birch completes his mission, finding his way off earth, he also becomes quite attached to the human who is equally as curious in him. The two learn all about each other down to the intimate details, exploring the body of the opposite species and finding all the quirks. Especially how luminescent Birch becomes (quite literally)
