You know of James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, but you don't know their family that lived before them- their fathers, for example. Fleamont Potter, Orion Black, Lyall Lupin and Timothy Pettigrew have been the best of friends ever since they meet on the Hogwarts Express for the first time in 1930. They were closer then brothers. All Orion, Timothy, Fleamont and Lyall want is to survive through their seven years at Hogwarts - but their family and friends might not be able to do even that.

The topic of Merlin went around the school of Hogwarts. Students were learning about the addition of the Courageous Deathly Grimm, but assumed it to be a magical black dog with a mighty personality. Only Sirius, Regulus, and James Potter-Black-Gryffindor knew the difference. The three brothers, along with their "cousins", however, were shocked when disks dropped from the sky, a note followed telling them about how they would get to watch the adventures of Merlin and the Courageous Deathly Grimm. When Death Eaters attack Hogsmede, Regulus is stuck in between which results in a loss for him. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. This was written for Froday Eternal Amnesty, but my first Eternal Amnesty story is written for prompt one of Table A: Mixed Prompts - despair. This is also written for the Awareness Challenge, but what I wanted to bring attention to specifically was deafness - the kind one isn't born with. Autisim is a side focus but comes from the fact I headcanon Regulus Black as being on the spectrum.

Orion and Walburga had their heir, which was more than they expected. Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. This was written for the first regular Froday challenge for July 2022. The prompt was fifty-fifty and I use it in something Walburga said. And I went with her exaggerating them having good luck when they struggled to have Sirius and them not expecting Regulus and it didn't turn out the way I wanted and I just brought it to an end - may try revisiting the idea later on.
