It occurred to me that there must be many off screen mutants in TMNT, those whose stories will never be told. I wanted to write something about some of them, and what their lives and cultures might be like, before the Turtles and the Turtle madness came on the scene. This story takes place in the 2012 continuum.

Due to his father's secret about his origin, Donatello's life seems to take an unexpected turn as he finds himself being targeted by the Shredder himself.
