Desiring some fresh air, he wanders the jungles to the north of his father's strong hold and meets another elf in the same situation . "Was it love at first sight, Ada?" The young Prince asked his father. Thranduil chuckled in spite of the hollow pang of remembrance which sparked in his heart. "No, my little leaf, it was not." The boy looked down, brows furrowed, unable to comprehend such a thing. The king tilted his son's head up to look into his eyes. "But that didn't make it any less real." He whispered. -------------------------- Thranduil loved his son. He loved his son more than he had ever loved anyone. Even his late queen. Though only by a bit.

Middle Earth A world filled with numerous races and fantastic beasts. But there was one race that never made it into the tale... A race that could easily hide themselves from the world. A race that held enough power to rule the world. A race that could change its appearance to whatever it desired. In the beginning when the Valar blessed Middle Earth by providing this race they were accepted as any other would. And for many years the world lived in peace. However, Evil began to crawl out of its cave . Evil learned of this race. Knowing of this power gave fear and anger into the evil hearts. And so evil sought to destroy that which could overthrow them. Never would they let someone else be more powerful then they. In time they managed to succeed...destroying the race. However...One single entity managed to evade the darkness and escape. And the darkness never knew of this... Join many of Middle Earths characters on this adventure! An origin tale that takes place before the events of the main story "To Live Again." It returns to Oropher's youth in Doriath, to a time before he was nothing more than a young lord in Thingol's court. It explores the love between he and his wife, the birth of his legendary son "Thranduil" their escape from Doriath, and the eventual coming to Greenwood. This is how a King is made. ***Not necessary to read the original "To Live Again" fanfiction. This is an ode to Oropher - after so many readers asked for more.
