Kim Tae Yung is the husband of Scott Summers aka Cyclops. The couple are teachers at Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters . Tae is an omega mutant with the power to produce and absorb cosmic energy in form of beams and redirect them. When an attack on the president by a mutant puts the mutant kind at jeopardy earning more fear and animosity with humans, Tae is assigned along with Ororo and Jean to track the said mutant only to discover something more sinister behind is at play that threatens to wage war between mutants and humans.

For Sage, as well as dozens of others, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is that safe haven. There they can be themselves without being judged for it and learn to control their powers as well as fighting their past trauma. Everyone can get a second chance, no matter the wrong they've done. That's the reason why Professor X decided to welcome two of Apocalypse former horsemen to his school.
