Nineteen-year-old Lydia, who had grown up in an orphanage, was used to advertise a restaurant in front of a building. A chance encounter with 22-year-old Mike Anderson from that very building led to a brief courtship and then a small wedding. Mike was kind, young, and full of vision for what their future would be. He was caring and made Lydia feel belonged. Just a month after their small wedding, Mike's family proves Lydia is having an affair with her old contact, Erik. Lydia tries to contact Mike to tell him the truth, but all her attempts fail. Mike didn't give her a chance. She reaches out to Mike's best friend, Logan, and begs him to tell Mike she's innocent and pregnant with his child. Logan assures that he will help her but shows up with a plan to kidnap her and kill her. Lydia wants to save herself from such people and runs away from it all. Hidden from the world, Lydia struggles to raise her daughter, who suffers from the same asthma as her father. Uneducated, unskilled and trapped in a bad situation she agrees to sell her body. But her first customer turns out to be her husband. The husband, she once tried to reach so desperately. The man she once loved and trusted the most. The lover who told her that he can't live without her but didn't even give her a chance to explain herself. The coward who walked away at the first inconvenience and left her all on her own. Life stopped at that moment. Everything she had forgotten about came crashing down.
