He narrates this story of his life, including how he became friends and family with Amber Ketchum, the daughter of Ash Ketchum and Misty Waterflower, and Jay Morgan, the son of the notorious anti-heroes Jessie and James of Team Rocket, and how they led him to his own self-discovery. This story is told primarily from the perspective of twenty-three-year-old Jezz Morgan-Kapule, with inserts of his journal's contents and extras authored by his friends and family. The journey begins with Jezz's untraditional upbringing, curves around his troubling pre-teen and adolescent years, and then folds into his chaotic adulthood. "We got the right number, Jacob. " He says to the first one then turns to Ava. "I am Mason. And Mrs. Wallyard said that the only room free here is this one-" he got cut off by Ava. "Oh hell to the no! I am not sharing a room with two boys." Ava said jumping out of the bed and shutting the door in their faces. "What was that?" Avery asked for who had just came out of the shower. "Oh that......uh.....I just shut the door in the demogorgon's face." This was just a detour of course. The company was left to her name after their deaths and was being run by the CEO until she was old enough. She was then presented with a choice. With the looming danger of adult and future deciding decisions, Lance wants nothing more than to spend this last summer as free as possible.
