As each day approaches, Oscar Pine sees fragments of the old soul's memories. With each memory he sees, he finds himself less and less of himself and becoming something else entirely.

Just decided to write my own collection of one shots mainly with my favorite ships and my OC. Requests are welcome.

Oscar is sent to live with his god father Ozpin after his family loses their farm. Although, Ozpin doesn't have a house of his own and instead lives on the Xiao Long estate with its owners and many other servants. Even though Yang Xiao Long, the owner of the estate, and others welcome him with open arms, he still feels as though he doesn't belong in the house due to his humble background and lack of money. But could a walking red rose, the younger step-sister of the owner, change all of that for him? RWBY and its characters belong to RT.

As it says in the title, this is a Humming Bird book (Summer Rose X Qrow Branwen). It's also a book about the Dad!Qrow Theory, the theory where Qrow is actually Ruby's father instead Tai. I would like to stress that this book has Spoilers for RWBY although, please DO NOT spoil any of V9 as I haven't finished it yet. When Oscar first met Ruby, it was after her drunk uncle led him to the house in Mistral. Ever since, he had to admit he had a crush on the spunky team leader. Now, they're on the Argus Limited en route for Atlas. This time of quiet (well, mostly quiet) travel is his best chance to talk to Ruby about these emotions he's feeling for her, but he's unsure how it will go, despite Ozpin's encouragement. Will he muster the courage to talk to her? Or will he lose his chance forever?

The original (which is still up btw) did well enough despite being how many years old? Either way, I wanted to remake it. This fic is primarily Humming Bird (Qrow X Summer) and I don't care that Volume 9 basically disproved that Theory. That's my story, I'm sticking to it.
