The loss of a twin drives parents to desperation, yet when the mother disappears without a word to the remaining twin, who'd fallen into feeling neglected from his parents obsession over a project he was kept in the dark from, on the anniversary of his twin's death, the father becomes more and more frenzied until he finds a way to return what was once deemed lost, albeit being a compromise with a cost for the twin who lived on.
