Hot shot is five years old he is very active and playful. He lives with his father Heatwave and his mother Quickshadow. They live in Dallas Texas. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist. Hot shot loves to run, jump, climb and play. However one day he starts to feel very sick and doesn't do those things much any more. His parents are worried and they take him right to Children's Medical Center Dallas ER. There they do many tests and then Hot shot is diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a type of bone cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face his cancer head on. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt! I just returned from England a couple days ago. I returned from living in this home for sick people where I lived for two years. I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (a type of bone cancer) when I was fourteen and after my mom decided that her work was more important then taking care of her sick daughter so, she shipped me off to England. I have now just returned to Ottawa, Canada (my home town) and tomorrow I am going to be starting high school for the first time. Most people including my twin brother Cole have already been attending high school for a year at my age but, because I was at the sick home tomorrow is my first time. I am seriously nervous but, Cole tells me not to worry because I am a (and I quote) 'smart, pretty, funny, nice and amazing girl and sister.'
