He was the textbook definition of ordinary; grades good enough to pass but average enough to remain unnoticed, outfits plain and uninteresting, quiet enough to be invisible but loud enough to be considered "normal". He was interested in the arts; dancing, singing, music... of course he had other hobbies, but that was basically his life. Minimal friends, minimal noise, minimal distractions, minimal stress.
His future lover, on the other hand, was the complete opposite; he was a popular kid, had low grades, spent all his time gossiping or partying or flirting, never heard of the words "calm", "silence", "alone time"... he was also in the music department, but on the more energetic and lively part of the industry. His closest group of friends were just like him personality-wise; all extroverts, all talkative, all touchy, but also easily jealous.
People say opposites attract, like two ends of a magnet. Others say they repel each other, no matter how hard you try to push them together. Here, something new lies under the surface. Is it sparkling and shimmering, awaiting to be found? Is it dull and empty, wanting to be left in solidarity? Or is it something else entirely?
