Otabek Stories

I ship OtaYuri both romantically and platonically, and I don't really have a preference, but seeing as very few fanfics give importance to platonic love, I thought that I would write one that did. If there's one take away from Yuri on Ice, it's that love is a valuable and precious thing that takes place in many forms. This story is off of one of my headcanons that Yuri and Otabek are both asexual and aromantic, and their friendship goes from being very small to being a qpr (a queer/quasi platonic relationship, which is like dating, except without any romantic aspects, and in this case, without sexual aspects as well). There aren't enough of these, so I'm writing my own.

Everyone is born with a soulmate, a perfect match. Someone that will always love them, unconditionally. When you come into the world the first words that your soulmate will ever speak to you are etched onto the skin of your wrist in their handwriting. Yuri Plisetsky is not everyone, Yuri Plisetsky does not have a soulmate. Instead of beautiful, thoughtful words he just has a scribble and Yuri is perfectly okay with that.

Yuri and Otabek figure out their love, life's, and career together. This is just what I want to happen in the show enjoy

'This routine would be so awesome,' Yurio thought, 'if only Otabek could get his damn part right.' So this fic came to me when I was watching Welcome to the Madness last week and I realized that a routine like that doesn't just happen. Yurio and Otabek would have had to practice that routine. So then I wondered, how many times did they have to practice Otabek taking off Yurio's glove with his teeth? How many times did Otabek accidentally bite Yurio's finger instead, and how awkward were the subsequent apologies?
