This is a Yurio X Otabek hanahaki disease fan fiction. The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from one-sided love, where the patient throws up and coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. In order to fully recover from the disease, either one's love must be fulfilled or it can be removed through surgery, but the feelings disappear along with the petals. 15 year old competitive skater, Yuri Plisetsky is hopelessly in love with Otabek Altin, 18 year old competitive skater. Although, Otabek does not feel the same. Because of this, Yuri suffers from Hanahaki Disease. Yuri tries his hardest to hide this from everyone, even Otabek.

The author's thoughts on ships

Yuri Plisetsky's whole family is in show business. Yuri himself, however, is just a moody college student who wants nothing to do with entertainment. His real passion is writing and illustrating comic books. When he was younger, he was roped into filming a commercial where he wears a dress. Another actor on the set, Otabek Atlin, mistakes him for a girl and falls in love at first sight. Ten years later his feelings still hold, even after he finds out that Yuri is actually a boy!
