When Coraline Jones returned from her semester away at college, she had forgotten the horrifying adventure she had gone on as a child. When Wybie's niece gets taken by the Other Mother, memories come flooding back to her, and she and Wybie must go back before its too late. Coraline moves back into Ashland, now 15 years old. She reunites with Wybie, as well as a couple other friends; Trixie and Callum. But they've all changed over the past 4 years; not the same awkward, gangly children they once were. They all grow closer, (especially Coraline and Wybie) and navigate high school and teenage life and drama together. (The story goes through Coraline and Wybie's perspectives, varying depending on the chapter.) Soon, though, the four teenagers discover strange things happening from inside the Pink Palace. Whatever it is, they all are driven to investigate it, finding weird and eerie clues on the way. But it couldn't be the Other Mother, though... she's gone. Right? Yeah.. (sorry for changing the name like 67 times) (also guys pls keep reading into the later chapters my writing style in the beginning was lowkey dry ik but i promise it gets juicier)

Anyone who knows me knows that Coraline is one of my favorite stories of all time. Literally, since I was only 10 years old! I took a Women's Literature Course and came back to it as an adult, and I took a dive this awesome book from a "Feminist Lens" for extra credit. Hope some other fans of the story will enjoy my analysis!!

Coraline is a normal pre-teen that moved to Ashland, OR little did she know the other world that comes from behind a small door. (I do not own any of these characters) This is my first book so if it isn't the best, hopefully over time it will get better!

Carlione Jones has just moved to the Pink Place with her parents, Charlie and Mel Jones. Her life feels like it's hit rock bottom-nothing makes sense, and nothing seems to help. That is, until she discovers a mysterious key that changes everything. The Baldam is a powerful being long ago imprisoned-not because of what she did, but because people feared and misunderstood her. Centuries of isolation have left her bitter, a shadow of the person she once was. But everything changes when Carlione stumbles into her world. Their meeting could be a miracle... or a catastrophe. Will it bring healing-or unleash even more pain?

"Why did I allow this to happen?" "Why didn't I see the signs before this happened?" Where one has been stuck in the other world and never escaped. Now, a new family has moved into the pink palace and this person must warn them before "she" gets her. Can this person warn and help this family escape before it's too late? However, as they go through this journey, many secrets that were buried start to reveal themselves that there is more than what meets the eye. It's been years since Coraline defeated the evil Other Mother, and Coraline died a year ago. But what happens if (Periwinkle) with her little sister (Angel) have met a old friend named: (Zexal) they haven't seen for 5 years??? Periwinkle is 11 years old, Angel is 8, and Zexal is 10 years old, and all 3 of them are close friends since childhood.

What if Coraline had a twin called Carol? What if she travelled to the other world with her? What if she had a bad feeling about it? Read the book and find out. So, I was watching Coraline one night when I thought, 'hey, what if Coraline had a twin that came with her to the other world?' So I basically did that. It's going to be like the film, but with some tweaks. Thanks to @MidnightWriter for the cover, it is really good and I thank you for it!
