Pressure from school started to build up, he gained a rivalry with a villain who wouldn't be defeated and grew more and more difficult to beat, and the ramblings of J. Jonah Jameson slowly chipped away at the people of New York's support for him. And while Peter would never admit it, being Spiderman slowly got a bit harder.
