Kronii pulled free, turning her back for only a second to steady her breathing, hating that Nerissa saw right through that commanding mask, hating that the thought of submitting, of letting someone else take the lead for once, made her knees feel weak instead of afraid. "I am Time itself. I decide what stays, and what is cast aside." "Then decide to keep me," Nerissa purred, stepping right into her space again, unbothered by the cold glare sent her way. "Or try to run. I promise you-I will chase you through every second, every lifetime, every end of the world until you finally admit I've already caught you..."
