A story out west in the mid 19th century of one lesbian and a girl who believes that she is very much straight.

Horses have always ran in Elizabeth's family. In fact the job at Canyon Corrals in Yellowstone national park is a family tradition. Elizabeth has always wanted to follow the foot steps of her parents who first meet at the corrals and her grandmother who was the head wrangler for years, but life has pushed Elizabeth down a different path. She started college at Montana State University which is in Billings just a hour if not more drive to Yellowstone. What do get when you through in a family friend Liz, an enemy you never did anything to, and a wrangler that makes you nervous and has you liking him from the get go?

Ellie sees her recent graduation from college as an opportunity to find real adventure. Her need for exploration landed her a job working on a guest ranch in Wyoming, right outside of Yellowstone National Park. There she meets a strapping young cowboy, Clark. Will she open herself up to new possibilities along the journey? Or will her youthfulness fool her? (1st person narrative)
