Healers are mostly known for their supportive role, providing aid to the "real heroes". I wanted to write a story where the healer was the hero. The idea mostly started when my husband told me I'd be a healer if D&D classes reflected reality. My first reaction was "wow, what the heck", like that was something to be offended by. I mean, he's not wrong. I am kind of a hippie and what's more hippie than a healer--but I don't play second fiddle to anyone! So, I wanted to change the healer's reputation and give them a moment to shine. Healers can be the cool ones, too! Although mine's a little traumatized... ha..haha...ha... I'm so sorry, Marcy. Anyways, here's a brief synopsis: A darkness appears in the kingdom of Illari, causing chaos and heartache for many of its people.
