In a small zinc-roof house in Jamestown, where the rain leaks through the ceiling and hope is often in short supply, lives a little girl with a voice too big for her body. *Nora Mensah is five years old.* When she sings, the whole compound stops to listen. Fishermen forget their nets. Babies stop crying. Even the rain seems to quiet down. But a beautiful voice cannot pay school fees. It cannot buy medicine. And it cannot fix a leaking roof. When Nora's mother, *Ama*, suffers a stroke and the hospital bills pile higher than they can ever afford, Nora makes a decision. She will use the only gift she has. She will sing. From the crowded stalls of *Makola Market* to the Friday night stage at a bar in *Kaneshie*, Nora's voice begins to travel. A tourist records her. The video goes viral. And suddenly, the world is listening to a girl from Jamestown. But fame brings new problems. Judgment. Pressure. Choices no child should have to make. And through it all, Nora holds on to one promise written in her old notebook: _"One day I will buy Mama a house that never leaks when it rains."_ With the help of *Esi Shaw*, a stranger who sees more in Nora than just talent, and the songs passed down from her grandmother *Efua*, Nora must learn that courage isn't about being fearless. It's about singing anyway. _The Voice of Nora_ is a story about poverty and hope. About a mother's sacrifice and a daughter's determination. About music that heals, and a promise that changes everything. Because sometimes, the smallest voice is the one the world needs to hear the most.

My name is Jenny, this is my story about growing up in the 80s dealing with abuse, drug addictions and trauma, to my pressent day...ive been told im many things i'm useless , I'm pathetic, this was only recent, when really you go through the hard stuff, its something you do not tell to those supposedly closet to you..at the time, you dont think to let people know of the things that happen to you, you just keep going refusing to break.. small mindedness comes in many forms especially when you choose to write your story...I dare those who have been hurt to write not only does it leave room in your soul to breathe... but it frees you to move forward we were never meant to carry around hurt, but set it free.. I was once told I could never be broken this is where I get the idea for the title of my book. ... much love this story isnt pretty.. But its mine.. .
