A move from Texas to New York was like the end of the world to Jennifer Platt. She has a new step mother, her father's beyond stressed with his latest work project, absolutely nothing could be worse. Or so Jennifer thought, until a midnight call changes everything. Right after Anna's eldest son is released from prison in Cincinnati, his father overdoses and leaves her two sons Bradley and Jason without a legal guardian, full custody now falling to Anna who hasn't seen her sons since she divorced their father 8 years ago. Just like that Jennifer's life is turned upside down as her step brothers move in, their wild behavior and Bradley's criminal past a harsh contrast to the sheltered life she once led.
