Overpass Stories

High school drama

Another short story to be put into a compilation of short stories. An unnamed man finds a woman covered in tattoos down in the city of LA. He desperately falls in love with her, and their relationship becomes intimate. However, they do breakup, but it is not directly explained why. The main character does seem to blame himself for the breakup, thinking of it as his fault. One reason given is that the girl did not truly love him, however, this interpretation can be left up to the reader. Feel free to leave your interpretations in the comments!

In which a young girl walks under a bridge with her father and meets eyes with glowing green ones that belong to a man up in the shadows. She soon sees more and more of him, but he isn't exactly visible to everyone's eyes. - "Love has been dead for a long time in this world, Vivian." He whispered, his breath showing in the cold wind.
