It's been almost a year since Greg and Wirt returned home from the Unknown. She too was returned to her family, successfully turning everyone back to humans. It's been almost a year and she hasn't stopped thinking about a certain boy who once wore a red cone on his head. And she was going to do something about it. Ah, yes. The timeless questions about mortality and death. You have long been interested in existential questions, which in turn, gave you existential dread. This was a recurring pattern that left your guardians, your sisters and friends looking at you very disturbed and confused but nonetheless very supportive. You indulge yourself in these questions, wanting to know more what happens to life after death, and if there is indeed a life after death. Or if people just ... cease to exist. You often read up on myths and stories and literatures regarding the exploration of the afterlife and the underworld. Travel to the underworld, descriptions of what it might look like, the works. One of your current favorites is The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri, but more specifically; the first half of the trilogy entitled the The Inferno. The other is the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Morbid and macabre as it is, according to one of your sisters, all is well. Until you find yourself in the dark woods with essentially no memory of what just happened before you got transported here. === I know I am terribly late, but if you knew me personally, I adore classical literature and existential questions. So it happens, a dear friend introduced me to OTGW. I adored the series and all of my friends in Discord collectively watch me tweak out when I realized what the show was alluding to. That was an experience; and at 2am, no less. An experience I never forgot, and an experience that led me to the creation of this book. This would be the very first time I'd be tackling the task of writing in existential themes. Also, I would like to say that Reader here is a female and has a name, but it's a temporary name; which means your name is still canon in this book! Witches lurk in the shadows of the mysterious Unknown. They live in the shadows and people are advised to stay away from them, for they are evil spirits. Long ago, the Unknown was ruled by two beings; the ferocious Beast, who turned people into trees, and the Great Witch Ada. She was quite feared by the inhabitants of the Unknown, even more than the Beast himself. For that reason, the Beast killed her, living her only daughter Elsbeth alone. To take advantage of the young witch, he sent her to get rid of two boys... Wirt and Gregory. A/N: This takes place in an AU where the Beast is still alive, even though Wirt and Gregory managed to leave. Enjoy!

What if Wirt never made it out of the Unknown, but Greg did? Because of Wirt's sacrifice for Greg, he dies and Greg is devastated. Greg grows up isolate from everyone else and prefers to be alone all the time. He's always so sad, angry, and bitter and everyone at school steers clear from him. Except for the new transfer student...Beatrice.

Wirt's life is going well. Unless you consider romance is part of life. Wirt is pretty sure he is back home... Pretty sure... Dipper and Wirt take care of a little girl named Lisa while her mother is at work. Might have Pinescone fluff. Hehe, I think Dipper and Wirt taking care of a child would be so cute to see. And yes, both boys are in a relationship (Dipper is 17 and Wirt is 19). Also, I've never done fluff in my life, so it might be a little bad T-T. "D-Dipper...I'm not sure t-this is a great idea..." Writ stuttered and looked at the young boy with fear in his eyes. "Oh come on, what's the worst that could happen?" Dipper smiled and turned back to matches. He grabbed them and lighted eight candles that surrounded him. Writ scooted away, and watched in horror as the Pines boy crossed out a girl's eyes. "Ego, Dipper Pines , volumus ut in ea servanda puella , et salva. Et fortasse licebit mihi esse puellis." The brunette's eyes turned blue, and he was lifted into the air. A blue flame surrounded him, and Wirt grew worried. "DIPPER!!" He rushed towards him, but was thrown back. He lie there on the ground, and Dipper was airborne. A black figure rushed towards Dipper. "Wow. It's good to be back. Did ya miss me? Admit it, ya missed me! Ahahahaha!!" Writ's eyes slowly started to close, but before they did...the black figure turned into a... triangle?
